From February 19th through the 23rd, delegations of day laborers and advocates from throughout the country will convene at NDLON’s 6th National Convention in Los Angeles, CA to share experiences and seek new solutions to the local and national challenges that impact their lives.

The 6th National Day Laborer Convention comes during a period of great challenges and unprecedented opportunities for the day laborer community. As you know, the rights of immigrant workers are increasingly under attack across the country.  At the same time, however, innovative organizing and educating endeavors are empowering the day laborers to defend their basic human, civil and labor rights. This is a living testimony that the most vulnerable, the most oppressed among the less privileged are setting the example in the everlasting effort to build a more humane, just and safer world.

At the convention, NDLON’s member organizations will connect and share experiences and best practices on local and national campaigns. As the highest authority within NDLON’s governance structure, delegates will also make important decisions about NDLON’s major programmatic areas. Delegates will also be immersed in other valuable experiences such as leadership development trainings, alliance building, community actions and cultural celebrations.

Registration Deadline is January 13th @ 5:00pm.

The 6th National Day Laborer Convention is an invitation-only event, open to NDLON members and allies. NDLON members & asamblea presenters can obtain a discount code from Lorena Gamboa to waive the registration fees.
