Friends,
It’s been over 5 years since we first started mETHODOLOGY and we thought that we needed to do something different. After a lot of planning, thinking, and some straight up getting down to the gritty we’ve planned something special for y’all this month.
With that said, I proudly present to you mETHODOLOGY’s First Annual OUTDOOR PACHANGA! It’s time that we celebrate our hardwork and dedication to the community by taking things outdoors. We’ll be having vendors selling some of their most creative, artistic, fashionable items as well as a community based Taco Stand from some of my very own students’ families.
Aside from all of these amazing turns, you’ll have the opportunity to get down to live music provided by LA CHAMBA (CUMBIA MUGROSA). These grassroots humble musicians will be playing some of the best CUMBIA around for your listening pleasure.
And if that wasn’t enough to get you out, the proceeds for this month will be going to support IDEPSCA and their Native Green Gardening Cooperative. Their Coop. is composed of day laborers and household workers who have developed their capacity with the necessary skills to transform Southern California’s landscape and conserve water. Come support their work and efforts in obtaining a greener, cleaner, more sustainable environment. Recently, they had 23 workers receive their Green Gardener Certification in an intimate ceremony. Big Ups to IDEPSCA and their organizing.
If you would like to support IDEPSCA additionally, donate your unused tool. We all have some slightly used gardening tool in our garage that’s taking up space. Donate it to IDEPSCA so these workers can do their work and you free your space of clutter. Here’s an added special bonus. If you bring a tool, you’ll get $5 off your entry. But it has to be in GOOD CONDITION though. No rusty, handles falling off, etc..non- sense. I’ll update this with a wish list the workers have made.
We’ll see you on April 17th!
Like iLL wILL would say, “Come again, tell a friend!”
